WINE AND ARCHITECTURE, VIA MOSEL

With its 11.5 million inhabitants, the Greater Region is an important local market for the winegrowers of the Moselle valley and presents a great diversity of consumers, who often have little or no knowledge of the wine tourism offer of the Moselle region as a whole, i.e. in a territory covering three countries from Toul in Lorraine via Remich in Luxembourg to Koblenz in Germany. Wine tourism also means selling wine, but until now, this outlet has been underused by winegrowers who are often put off by the very substantial administrative and customs formalities, especially when selling small quantities of wine to individuals or restaurants. It is from this observation that the project led by the Terroir Moselle EEIG in collaboration with OAI was born, which aims, on the one hand, to encourage the shipment of wine within the Greater Region by overcoming the obstacles linked to customs and excise duties and, on the other hand, to develop the wine tourism activity of the international Moselle valley thanks to the themes of wine and architecture (Via mosel’ offer).
