This small urban building, passive and low tech, close to the biggest Luxembourgish intermodal hub, is the new office of STEINMETZDEMEYER architects-urban plan- ners since the end of 2014. Mettant en évidence la plus-value architectu- rale (raccordement de deux arches parallèles en pierre par un plateau en béton) du pont Adolphe dessiné par Paul Séjourné (1900), la passerelle est une construction filigrane dont l’épaisseur a été réduite au minimum. La hauteur a été ajustée selon la géométrie de construction du pont Adolphe. La perspec- tive vue de l’intérieur est rythmée par les suspentes et les arcs du pont sur la profon- deur de 154 m. Elle suit le profil en long du pont Adolphe, son point haut est au milieu et descendra vers les culées. Une hauteur libre de 3,80 m est garantie sur toute la longueur. Highlighting the architectural added value (connection of two parallel stone arches by a concrete platform) of the Adolphe bridge designed by Paul Séjourné (1900), the foot- bridge is a filigree construction whose thick- ness was reduced to a minimum. The height was adjusted according to the construction geometry of the Adolphe bridge. The view from the inside is punctuated by the lines and the arches of the bridge over the depth of 154m. It follows the long profile of the Adolphe bridge, its high point is in the middle and will descend towards the abutments. A clear height of 3.80m is guaranteed over the entire length..
